Upgrading my 2007 48re

Ok guys, I was looking at getting a new truck next year, but now I realize that having a pre emissions 5.9 L is a pretty good thing. So, here's my question.
Can upgrading my truck's torque converter decrease slip before it achieves lock-up? My truck is completely stock. It pulls very well in tow mode once the tranny locks. Is going to a lower stall rated converter worth it, and is it enough? thanks.

It's all about the efficiency. A higher efficiency torque converter will seem like it "slips" less, as you call it. Go to goerend.com, he has a lot of good reading on torque converters and transmissions in general.

I have been using the DTT line for years in my personal truck as well as for customers,There is a huge difference whether towing or empty.I would do a full build to get the best service out of your trans.
