Turbo lag or clutch slip????
Turbo lag or clutch slip????
I know this may be yet another dumb question, but I just got my first diesel, 05 (as below) with 12000 miles on it, and when I punch it from a dead stop it doesn't really "punch" until I hit about 2200 rpms. I mean, it's moving, but doesn't pull hard until I reach the above rpms. Is this just the time it takes the turbo to spool and take effect??? ( what we call turbo lag in snowmobiling) Probably takes 1 1/2-2 seconds, then it just takes off. Thanks for any input.
If it is "turbo lag" is there anything I can do to quiken the throttle response that won't void my warranty? The only thing I'm going to do right now is add is a rokktech timing sensor. Thanks for any replies.
