I agree RonP, just going by the mileage on the truck and the fact that he put several thousand miles on the tires.

I had my new 285/75R17 Toyo OC MTs installed today. I noticed the wandering before I got out of the parking lot. I figured it would settle down. It's good to hear that likely will be the case.

How much preasure (PSI) do you have in the front tires? If you have too much preasure, the tred will bulge and only the centre of the tread will be making good contact with the road thus wandering, once the centres start to wear the wander will disappear as more tire makes contact with the road but this adversely affects the tire life...just some food for thought...

had the same with my toyo mt's. lowering the tire pressure (55 front, 45-50 rear) helped quite a bit as well.

i run 80psi all the way around. same as i did with the General Ameritracs. got 50,000 miles out of them and they still have a lot of tread left on them and have worn evenly all the way across the tread pattern.

running pressure that high will definitely add to the wandering issue.

Thanks, the tire shop put in 60 all the way around. I plan on lowering them to about what you run.

Seems a softer tire would produce more road friction witch would increase the wandering ?
