my truck has had the cruise control working off and on for a while and finally the brake light started coming on when it is first started it goes off soon their after. all of the brakes are good and the code that the computer puts out is P0573 my question is where is the switch that this trouble code refers too and would a brake controller affect this issue thanks in advance

should be at the back of the brake peddle arm at top of it when depressed it should touch it and activate the switch if its like the old ones havent looked at for a couple of years
