Transmission repair in San Diego

I have started to have 1st / 2nd gear slip problems, has gotten worse over the last month. Start out on a slight incline and the truck will sometimes rev to 3100 and not shift, if I let off the gas and try again it will after a couple trys. 150,000 miles no mods or work done to the tranny except for regular fluid changes. I read TSB 21-009-07 and think maybe this would help, along with adjusting the bands? Last time I towed, the tranny would hunt a bunch between higher gears.

Any suggestions for a good shop in the San Diego area?

Just went in to see John at Factory Transmission, log story tranny needs to be rebuilt. $4200.00 out the door with a new TC. 2YR/24,000 warranty.

Haven't done it yet.

Factory Transmissions

Yeah,www.ntgracing.com amongst others uses John exclusively. He'll dissect and correct.

I've ridden in a recently John upgraded transmission and it makes me want an auto again.
