Trans Temp Guage Amplifier ?

I'm planning to add a trans temp guage, and it looks like Geno's can supply everything - SRT10 single guage A pillar mount (with handle), Isspro trans temp guage (including sender), Acu Temp adapter.

When I checked the Isspro web site, they list the same guage number, but show it as part of a set (guage, sender, wiring, and an amplifier), and it sounds like the everything is calibrated as a matched set

Geno's doesn't mention the amplifier and their guage price is only half of the Isspro site price. Does this guage need the amplifier - or does it work correctly with just direct wiring to the sender?

Also - the dash has a 'Trans Temp' warning light - does anyone know the temperature for this light to come on?

Thanks for your inputs!

I believe it all comes as a matched set.
I just received mine from another vendor and it has everything to install.
