I used a UV dye to track down an annoying oil leak. I have posted a couple of pics of the leaking part. It is located on the rear of the trans, just above the pan. It looks like some sort of pin and may be accessible by removing the pan. The oil moves down onto the gasket and drips off the front of the pan. Before I dig into it, I was hoping I might be able to find some guidance in identifying the part and tips on how to fix it.
After doing some more research, I may have identified the part as the rear band pivot pin. I believe there are two o-rings that seal the pin at the case.
I identified the part that is leaking. It is called a reverse band reaction pin (o-ring). I guess my only question is how to access it. It looks like the may just slide out after removing the rear band reaction lever and adjusting lever. Hopefully someone here has the answer. I will keep checking.
