Trans issue

Hello folks. Well Thursday after coming home from a long trip I noticed a vibration in the truck (2007 2500 4x4) that felt like a u-joint...which it was. But while I was putting the truck from first to reverse to try to locate the noisy joint I developed a tranny issue. At first it would not go into park...the indicator said it was but the truck just rolled. I finally got it into park but I noticed at some times the indicator would not "highlight" park or 1st . Installed the u-joint the next day and all seemed ok with the operation of the trans in the driveway. Took it for a ride and now it has a really late shift out of 1st...more pronounced on a hill. Could this be a shift cable or TV cable adjustment?? I've read of a lever in the VB that could have croaked also. Any ideas?

I seem to remember someone way back had a similar issue - I think it was resolved by having ECU re-flashed by the dealer. Did you throw a code?

Dropped the pan and part of the second gear band strut was in the pan. Keeping my fingers crossed the band survived.
