Trans Fluid Smell? ? ?
 

[B]i had changed my trans fluid and filter a couple weeks ago about 17qts, i did the pump out a gal & fill and repeat method.
Anyway now when the truck is up to temp. you can smell the trans fluid (Royal Purple), when idling. i was waiting to see if it would go away but its still there. its pretty strong sometimes!!!
Whats up with that?

Any leaks?

none that i have found , nothing on the ground either. will have to climb under and check again but not that i've found

Wonder if this could it be similar to the "Rosmella" phenomenon?

first pumped out a gal and 1/2 then dropped pan, did the work and filled and drained, repeated to about 16qts or 17 couldnt remember exactly. i think it holds 17 altogether. i'm sure i pumped out some new also which i dont think about being $12 qt[yuk]
