Output line is the front oneon the trans, return line is the one that runs to the rear of the trans. Yes, drivers side aluminum lines. Trace them from the trans to make sure.

My biggest problem I can't lay on my back very long right now.. my stomch isn't feeling very good right now!

if it is the 2 alum lines (under the left hand side of radiator) you being under the truck.. is it the outside line or inside line?? outside being the one closest to tire..

the alum lines I was looking at up front are the power streeing cooler/lines..

ps: the flare nut on the trans line at pan.. can't you just unscrew the larger nut - or do you have to loosen the smaller one.. IT IS JUST A FLARE CONNECTION isn't it??
