Tranny Fluid

Well I know it has to be ATF+4 and I assume if it is not labled as such then it still has not met those standards. The question is where to get it. Is the dealer the only option for it at the moment. I want to change all my fluids this weekend (in the truck that is).

I tried the search but I figure since the site update not all the databases are up yet.

The dealer is the cheapist. $16 for a gallon and $4 something for a quart. Fair price for full synthetic.

3.15 per qt. cheaper than by the gallon at my dealer, also no where on the label does it say it's synthetic. Lubrizol has been licensed to make +4 if you can find it, lubrizol has good products.

Ok so the dealer is the only place to get it? Well I guess if it is that price why not anyway.

ow I just have to find a place to get the rear end oil.

tranny oil

strick..just changed out my rear diff fluid & the tranny fluid and installed new tranny filter....cost me $35.34 for 2 gals. tran fluid, $81.80 for rear diff. fluid and $18.50 for tran filter...don't buy the gasket sealer from them, if you use it, they want $16.75 a tube for it !! you can re-use both the tranny and the rear diff. gaskets.

Most tranny shops will have it in bulk. Also Canadian Tire up here sells it, so I'm sure a similar American chain would do the same.
