Trackbar
Trackbar
Background: new ball joints, tie rod ends, alignment, axle u-joints and BD Trackbar...but the handling is horrible. If the Trackbar is not properly adjusted, as in this case off 3/4" to one side, will this contribute to poor drivability...as is the current case? Not so savvy on these attributes of the truck, but the handling is way off. Thanks for any input.

If you define "poor driveability" you might get a good answer.
Do you mean it wanders, or pulls to one side or what?
Why is it installed 3/4" off to one side? It should be adjusted to the same length as stock or to center the axle.

Look into don thurens trackbar, i just ordered one, it supposed to be the best improvement over any others on the market. I got to see one in person and they are NICE. Nice enought to bail out $356.99 for one
This time poor drivability meant that the truck felt very loose in the center and under load the problem was greatly magnified. Axle/Frame was out of alignment. Fix that and found the pitman arm was loose. All tightened and aligned now and problem is solved. The main culprit might have been the pitman arm being loose. The BD Trackbar was defiantly a sweet addition.
