Is too much fuel a problem?

I have installed an Air Dog lift pump in my 03 Dodge and I noticed the fuel pressure has doubled. I am having trouble with my dodge dying when it is cold and you don't have your foot on the footfeet to give it some extra fuel. It is like there is air in the line but i cannot tell where it is from. The return line going back to the stock diesel tank seems to be under quite a bit of pressure and I noticed when it is kinked it to restrict flow the engine cuts out and dies. Do I need a larger return line installed to use the pump? Anybody had issues with this. I have an auxillary FASS pump that also puts out 18psi and the same problem exists...

Are you talking about pressure in the factory return line from the fuel rail or are you talking about the return line that was added with the Airdog/Fass system?

If it is the factory line then you may want to check your rail valve operation and make sure it is not stuck open or leaking....
