Tires
Hi all,
New to the forum here. Currently have 275x70x17 would like to run 285's . Anyone running this size and have any rubbing issues? Sure is a lot of room to fill. Don't ant to install a level kit if I don't have to.
Thanks

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
You did not say if your truck is a 2wd or a 4wd. For many years I have run a lot larger than 285's. I have 315's and they just rubbed a tiny bit. I stopped that by installing a 3/32" spacer on the steering stop, one per side.
If you go up much in tire size, get your speedo recalibrated.

I'm running 285/75 R17 without any issues, and no mods to the front suspension.
As a side note: The Toyo AT II are stupid slippery in the rain and tend to break traction anytime it's even slightly wet. I won't buy them again. Just food for thought when looking for new rubber.
