Tire size adjustment help

I went to the local dealership for a ECU adjustment for my new tire size 285/75/17, and they want to charge me 99$ (not happening). is there someone in the San Diego area w/ a smarty that can do it for me? I would drive to you and with compensation (12/24 pack etc.) i would appreciate it. Michael

AFAIK, once you return the smarty to stock to take it off your truck, the tire size goes back to stock.

Try a couple different dealers. When I had my edge, my dealer only charged me a 1/4 hour labor to do it, like 20 bucks or something.

However, I will be in SD starting Sunday night, and I will bring my smarty if you want me to. I'll be staying on MCAS Miramar.... PM me if you want to try, I'll give you my number.

I am 99% sure the tire adjustment stays on the 06's, its the 03-05's that it goes back to stock on...

And on your 06 the biggest the dealer can go is 285/70/17.

It will work...

I just did my bosses truck (both are 2006 models with 285/75/17) and it worked. I put my truck back to stock, adjusted for his tire size, and then reprogrammed mine... checked both with a GPS and right on time. I don't know about other years though-

Works on a 2006

Big thanks to Madhat for helping me out with this. It did work on my 2006 and up to 80 mph it was only 1mph off via my GPS.

For my 285/75/17 size tires we programmed in 33.75in in the smarty.

And for the record it only took 1.5min to get scolded for not having and gauges in my truck, hahahha

HAhaha... Dude, I was not scolding you... haha...

If I ain't got anything going on tonight, I'll give you a ring and we'll load up that smarty. I went north on the 15 last night to grab some chow, it's not that bad.
