Yes, its driving me nutz. Only hear it when going slow like coming out of the garage and drop off of the lip of the garage. I have looked for loose items but find none. Has anyone had bushings or shocks go out. I have 30 K on the truck. Has a deep tone to it not like sheet metal. Any Ideas, i took it in and they just looked at it and made sure all of the bolts were tight on the leafs.

 

Is it from the back or the front.

don't know if it's the back end.

If the front check the passenger bolt on the track bar on the front end. That bolt has to have (what I would guess to be) about 180lbs of torque. Mine was popping with the same kind of driving. I put the gorilla on that bolt and that fixed it. They've talked about this topic before many moons ago I believe.

Seems to be coming from the rear, but i will check the track bar bolt. It sounds exactly like the lugs are loose on the wheel but i checked that.

 

Also make sure the spare tire is tight against the bed of the truck.

 

Lots of them make that noise.Mine does.Worse in cold/cool weather.There was a thread started on it back in the winter.ts of posts and no soloutions.

 

mine deos it to 42000 miles and new track bars from my leveling kit and still no relief

 

Finally found out what the cause was.....I separated the leafs with a chisel and shot some grease on the pads the leafs ride on. Thump totally gone...
