throttle hangs up

I've seen and drove several trucks with this issue, engine rpm hangs up after pedal is released. Talked to a few people and haven't recieved a cause or a remedy for this issue. Anyone have experience with this?

Mine had throttle hang, with a stairstep when rpm's did start to fall.I took mine to Enterprise in Thornville.Owner listened and explained it could be loose conn tubes or bad injectors. After a proper retourqeing of the tubes, still had it.A new set of injectors fixed it right away.A properly functioning inj will stop the flow of fuel immediately upon release of the throttle pedal, regardless of rail pressure(some feel that high rail pressure must bleed off). This is not true if the fuel sys is operating correctly,as the sys will start returning fuel to the tank.

There will be some sort of throttle hang on the CR trucks at all times. The engine is programmed to do this to eliminate turbo surge/bark and other harmful effects.

Well six injectors later the hang up is much less noticable, plus it starts much quicker and sounds smoother and quieter at all rpm. However, I lost some hp,which makes sense if the old ones were overfueling, but I also lost fuel mileage. Anyone else had this with new injectors? Just installed a smarty jr. to try and regain power/economy- not sure on economy yet, but it really woke this thing up.

just got my Smarty jr yesterday.I had to do a recovery file because of another prorammer left a crappy burn in my computer.I am very happy with mine.It really woke it up sw1 tm default timing 4.No pilot inj rattle and excellent throttle response.Mads has EXCELLENT customer service, helped me get a factory recovery file that fixed a lot of issues besides the advantages of the programmer.I wonder how many trucks are out there with that 73 file and dont even know it?

is the 73 file a factory file or something from another programmer? What are the symptoms of the 73 file?
