I have an '06 2500 QC 4x4 auto. My CEL came on @ 1740 mi.(code P1740: TCC O/D SOL PERFORMANCE). The *********** said let's install new software into the system. If that doesn't work, we will have to get into the tranny & redo the wiring. It still feels like it is doing the same thing, or I'm just paranoid now. Does anyone know if the flash should, or would, fix this problem or are they just putting off the inevetible(sp)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

 

I've herd of stuff like that fixing transmissions before, you reflash the ecu, reset the adaptions and recalibrate the tranny and supp. it works. I do that on cars at work on a daily basis, even though they arent diesels. Yours could be similar in the fact that it is a software issue.
