TC Lock / Unlock cycling?

I have a stock '07, 5.9/48re, and I have noticed, intermittently, that the truck will gain & lose 300-500rpm, and will buck slightly. I happens between 40-45mph, under light to moderate throttle, when going up a slight to moderate grade. I think it is the torque converter locking and unlocking. Truck shifts fine otherwise, and it never seems to happen at other speeds. I searched the forums and found a lot of information regarding electrical interference related to the second gen alternator / TPPS / PCM - But I didn't see many third gen people having issues like this.

Anyone else having / had this issue?
Would the same "fixes" apply?

Thanks for the help,

- Jason

If you have not already, set your attitude monitor to look at Tranny Slip and Backdown. See were its slipping and if you are getting any backdown % shown when it does it.

I have a 54% slip shown on the Attitude as the torque converter goes into lockup. You don't see it anymore unless you step on it. Mine will not show any backdown until I go to the Drive (#3) position where I get 10% backdown sometimes. When you set the Attitude up for slip it will read N/A until the torque converter begins to lock up.

Called Edge, they want me to send it back to them so they can look at it. They can't explain why there is no backdown indicated when the slippage is shown at 54%. I just put my Insight back in.

I also had a bad Band in the tranny last year. Mine was slipping bad like yours. Leaving a toll both, kicking it down it would just rev up and go no where.
