Take Note!

Just wanted to post up a little info for all those that are reluctant to spend a few dollars on gauges.
I purchased a 2003 truck that has 70k kms (45000 miles) on the clock last month and have slowly started collecting the stuff to bomb it out. Being in this game for quite a few years and building a couple other trucks so far I have a good feel for what things are important so....
Last week I got a call from Harry at Peak saying the stuff I ordered was in but I decided I would first install my gauges and get some baseline #s prior to adding the after market stuff. BTW the truck run perfectly with no issues.
FP on a perfectly good running truck was 5psi at idle and 0 instantly at WOT!
Fortunately one of the goodies I picked up from Harry was a FASS 150 system oh and these Performax gauges are sic
Guys even if your truck is stock get some gauges, they can save you some money in the long run.

very good advice, twice now, i have buddies with dodge diesel trucks, and if they had gauges, they could have saved a ton of money. instead of listing to me, they had problems, and spent several thousand dollars to have a garage throw parts at the trucks to fix what they were guessing at. with some basic gauges, boost and egt, and fuel pressure, trans temp, they could have figured out the problem them selves.food for thought

My cannister mounted LP died at around 52,000 miles.....so your might be living on borrowed time.

Please keep us updated on what happens to the numbers when the FASS gets installed.......
