Steering Pump Cap Vent

My truck wanders the road. I've replaced literally the whole front end except two things, the PS cap and coil spings. After the current PS Pump only being on the truck a month or so, its started leaking around the shaft. I searched and found that the vent on the cap could be stopped up and can cause odd steering issues. I've looked all over it and don't see where there could be a vent of any kind, so I'm wondering if I can run the truck without it to see if it solves my problems. I'm kind of wondering if the PO didn't put a different cap on it for some reason since I can't find a vent on this one.
