My buddy has a 04.5 with a Auto.
Truck has 16K miles.

His truck doesn't smoke worth a darn, compared to mine on Level 6.
Idle quality is not what it should be.

Now, in Park or Neutral, pedal to the floor, it will not go over 2100rpm. Drive it around a little, and it went up to 2500rpm, and then back to 2100rpm, and thats it.

Now tonight, its reving to 3000+rpm, like normal.

But the truck doesn't smoke at all, box on or box off.

Thoughts??? Opinions????

 

Don't know but as for the smoke my buddy has a 03 with the 6 gun and his will not put out even a puff. truck runs good and everything but just don't have the power they "say" it should have.

I'd check the fuel pressure and see what that's doing.
