Sodium filled valves?

Just wondering... Are the valves on a common rail sodium filled? If so, just exhaust? How do you differentiate?

I havent heard of using sodium valves in years... I think that these days, they are two piece.. The face being a stainless alloy and the stem being an iron alloy.. Usually spin welded together.
Cat uses two piece on most all of theirs...
I'm sure there is somebody on here that knows for sure.

I seriously doubt they are sodium filled stems. The stems are are really small diameter to be filled. Craig

I haven't heard of sodium filled valves in many years. It was used for cooling.

And hence me looking for a definite answer one way or the other. So far opinions seem to be they aren't, but... Nobody yet saying they are, or they aren't...

Did you look at the OEM's description of them? "The valves are made of heat resistant steel and have chrome plated..."...

My FIL lost patience with Dodge when they added sodium-filled valves on his Hemi truck; about 1956 or so.
