Mine will generate some black smoke when my truck is cold with light acceleration. That's also with the box on the 100HP setting. When I have it set to stock, I do not get any smoke at all. Once I reach operating temp on the 100 setting, I do not get any more smoke.

zulusafari - I hate those goofy commericals they are playing on the radio about "smokey tail pipes". I wonder how long those ads will last if people start reporting farm tractors .

Mine did not smoke until I had all 6 injectors changed , under warrenty . Personally , I think something is wrong if it does not smoke at WOT .
