Smoke? Exhaust
Smoke? Exhaust
Hi folks,
OK I'm new to diesel. Truck seems to run peachy. Although I noted occasional smoke on my recent cross country road trip. From the exhaust, and only when I really put my foot in it. Generally the puff happens after I shift to the next gear. I'm not readlining it, but it gets close sometimes!
How much is OK?

Black smoke means unburnt fuel, usually at low rpm's before the turbo lights. As long as it's black, it's ok.

your ok. Fill out your sig, but if you have a cat, the soot builds up after driving normal for a while and then when you get on it, you get a nice smoke show. After cruising for a while, I can black out a whole 3 lane highway and im stock...
