when your transmission goes into lock up, Should it LOCK up Hard? seems to really slam into lock up. is this normal?

 

No, that's not normal.

 

So how hard? I see you have a ATS stage # upgrade, and I have heard of others saying the lock up is a bit harsher than stock with a aftermarket trans upgrade. I don't know what harsh it, but most say you have to let off the go pedal when it locks and you can learn to drive with it, a bit better. Check out one of those threads

 

That's how I run mine in tow/haul mode, stock. You basically shift it with the accelerator once you learn the shift points, smooth as silk.
