100 bucks is better than 375!! its your call. if driving it hard doesnt clean it out, then pay the turds. always driving with MPGs in mind is hard on the motor. thats why i mash the motor all the time

Would they find that out by cleaning them?

"Mechanic "and "trust" all in the same sentence. How does that happen?

Dealer said dc wants the injectors cleaned and the hours idle time before they agree to replace any injectors. I said if it does not fix the problem do I still have to pay for the cleaning? He had no response. Then said probably not.....

Thre other dealer cant even look at it tell the end off the week. Also I had the front u-joints replaced 2 weeks ago and now the upper ball joints are bad? Shouldn't they have found that before when it was in for u-joint noise?

where are you located? yes idle time will mess up the injectors. run some cleaner through it drive it hard and see if some of the injector rattle goes away. if and when it does take it to another dealer and have them kill each injector until the noise is least present, you can only do one at a time or they can run a return flow test and see which one is leaking back all the fuel. and yes they should have checked the balljoints because you have to take that all apart when you do axle ujoints. and you might as well do the ball joints when its down.

Doesn't the axle pull out after the hub is all off. So they should not have touched the upper ball joints, right? I am in minnesota, the land of letting your truck idle to warm up. I dont think the dealer even did anything that you mentioned. They called dc and dc said to do clean them first before anything else.

I have been having a similar problem with my 04 idling rough. It sounds like a gasser missing out on a cylinder. I can hear the miss until the exhaust gets too loud under acceleration. It seems to blow a little white smoke too. It got so bad at one point that the Service Engine Light came on. I didn't make it to the dealer before it went off tough. Just recently I had the code cleared and it came up as "Injector 2 Circuit Error" or something like that. Haven't found the problem yet. Any ideas?
