rough country
are the rough country lift kits any good thats what i have? im hearing they are not after having too chase down a pitman arm that broke in half with no pressure at all on it. dont understand how this could have happened, kinda scared now! is there any after market pitman arms out there that are better than rough country? also should may steering gear still be mounted in its origanal place, not sure but lift is better than 3inch. still trying too figure out too measure.
would post pics but its not loading from here or photobucket?

I've had the Rough Country 5" lift on my truck for about 4 years and haven't had any problems. It is not a premium lift like Thuren or Carli so don't plan on doing any serious offroading with it.
The steering gear stays mounted in the factory location but you should get the stabilizer for it. Also, if your lift is over 3" you should be using a drop pitman arm. I don't think there is an upgraded drop pitman arm, it wouldn't suprise me if all the lift companies use the same one.
