Recal Spedo
Recal Spedo
I have had my truck at the Dealer 4 different times to recal spedo for larger tire size, the 4th time i had them put it back to stock, it was off 7mph at 70 after they calibrated the 1st 3 times, they were supposed to put it back to stock and now its off 5mph at 70 and they , the first time i took it in it was 3mph too slow, now it is 5mph too fast according to my GPS, anyone have any ideas, obviously they dont know what the heck they are doing. Also i had a SC Flashpaq on my truck and had it adjusted pretty close, i took it off and trying some other things
Well took it in 2 times today and still no change, the second time i watched them, made sure they put 265-70-17 in and it showed to have changed the rear gears to 3.21 i had them change to 3.73 drove off again for the 6th time now, still no change. has anyone else had this problem, anybody think the flashpaq could have messed the computer calibration up.
On an 2003, select other on pinion factor and enter 601 revs per mile for 315s. There are many members on DTR that have had their pinion factor reset for 315s. I think the 2006s are different. My pinion factor is set to 634 for my 285s.
My dealer reset my rev's per mile high enough to get me to withing 2ish mph of actual speed. I have 35" toyo M/T's (they measure 34").
My reasearch has found that only the Superchip will actually reprogram the OEM speedometer. the rest of the programmers/boxes only reconfigure the display on their own display's.
Find another dealer its very easy to do you adjust your pinion factor to the revolutions per mile..... For 315's it .8 pinion factor with 373 gears @ 45 mph! Make sure you have your recipt from the work done when you get pulled over by old smokey! It might save you enough to get the thing fixed right! Also when you are that far off .....your Auto tranny is getting beaten! It will be like night and day when fixed and shifting properly.
Just my 2cents been there done that!
