Rear spring problem.

For some time now the LH rear spring on my truck has moved inboard at the front attachment and is rubbing on the support, causing a squeak. Twice now I have taken the weight off the spring, loosened the U bolts and forced the spring as far outboard as possible before tightening the U bolts. Within one mile the spring has moved over again. Also installed new rubber bushings, but no change. The old bushings looked fine, but put new ones anyway.
The truck has not been in any accidents, so nothing should be out of line.
I thought maybe the Sulastics could forcing something out of position, but now have new Sulastics and the same condition exists. The RH side is OK.

Anybody have any suggestions as to how to fix this annoying problem?

Stan, I'm thinking I'd look at the ubolts and center pad. Are they straight/parallel? I'm wondering if the leaf is rotating ove at the center point.

All the signs point to that, which is why I jacked up the truck to take the weight off, loosened the U bolts, straightened everything and locked it in place. All to no avail as the stupid spring moves back into the out of position as soon as I start driving.
