The only reflash I've heard of specifically for the manual tranny equipped Cummins is related to the the cruise control. After extended cruising the engine wouldn't back down correctly when disengaging cruise. It was a recall. I got it done and experienced no problems whatsoever from the reflash.<br><br>There is also a reflash for the gauge cluster on the diesels to eliminate the erroneous &quot;check gauges&quot; light that flashes once in a while. This flash can be a problem, though, and can hurt the cluster if the technician doesn't follow the procedure correctly.

The cummins place in Renton wa as per steve there says he would and could reflash for my aplication if I were to go to ceramic pistons and biger injectors<br> I do not speak cumputer well so i'll take his word for it right now.<br> also he says to get the power out of bigger injectors to do a reflash. ????

The origional post was dated march 13 '03. I think they were talking about the cruse control safety reflash.

No, won't work. They are different motors internally. DC would really be asking for a lot of legal issues if that was all it took to boost the power.
