question on transmissions

i dont know if this is a problem or if it is normal operation......

ok lets say i am going 30 then i take my foot off the pedal completely so the engine goes to idle......then lets say traffic starts going again (trucks speed is about 25 now) then i go hit the gas pedal again to start going....is it normal to feel like there is a kind of lag? it feels like i am applying now power untill it feels like it kicks in then i have power again... i dont know if i explained this right but does anyone know what i am saying and is this normal? ???

Re:question on transmissions

sounds like turbo lag. You have no boost because your off the fuel, the slushbox is hanging there, you get on it again and the boost hasta build before the auto gets going. Does not happen with a standard because you are always in a gear, and the turbo is always spinning.

Re:question on transmissions

Yes it is normal. You will have to lose the gas mentality now that you are driving a diesel. You are not alone. Many first time diesel owners expect their new engines to act like their old gassers. Once you get use to the diesel, you will never go back.

cumminsho2500 -

We should get together sometime. I'm only about 30 minutes from you. If you want, there's a dyno place in Elk Grove. I just got my EZ and I would like to see the power gains. Let me know.
