Question on replacing low brake fluid sensor?
Question on replacing low brake fluid sensor?
Changing fuel filter and looks like I may have broken off the low brake fluid sensor. If not it may have been broken off when the dealer replaced the fuel pump. Looked thru the manual and only see mention about unpluging it nothing about removing it. Is it part of the brake fluid resevior or is it a seperate replaceable part. Plan on taking it into the dealer in the am and hope they will warranty it, if not I need to know what I'm getting into cost wise.
Any help or assistance will be greatly apreciated.

Hope this is an end to this week, enough damage has been done for a year or two.

Got to parts dept this am. Counter person wasn't sure how sensor came. Called. It apears that you have to order the entire resivour to get the sensor. Parts ordered this am, hopefully in Wed or Thurs.
Be aware when changing the fuel filter this sensor sticks out into where you reach down to loosen the filter cover and if mine is any indicator it's very easy to break off flush with the resiovour. You will then have a small PCB board hanging from a wire just above the steering box that is very difficult to see where it goes. ( It goes at the base of the reseviour just above the master cyl about the center of the front to back area right at the bottom in a recessed area). It does unplug from the sensor but so far no codes from it so just stuck it in place and waiting for the parts.
