Question on Exhaust Components
Okay....I might really show my ignorance here, but it won't be the first time. :
When I was under my truck a couple of weeks ago doing my oil change I gave the whole underside a good look over just for the heck of it. Now...either I'm blind, or my truck doesn't have a catalytic convertor. Do diesels not have these? It had a muffler....but that was it. What's the deal??

Re:Question on Exhaust Components
I think the only trucks that may have a catalytic converter are the CA trucks, but I could be wrong there.
My HO truck didn't have one when I changed the exhuast on mine, so I'd say yours is as normal as everyone else's.

Re:Question on Exhaust Components
probably so, and illegal to remove the CAT if it has one. Early 3rd gens are sooooo sweet.
Doug.
P.S. I'm guessing the 2004.5s will have a CAT. very tough to bomb in my opinion.
