Thumbs down Question about Quad ZXT box

How many are running a Quad ZXT box, if so on what year truck and also any problems since mounting the box.

I have an 04.5. Tried the box but now have it off, Lost 3 rail pressure relief valves and 2 injectors along with the CP3 and lift pump over 25000 miles. Some with the box and quite a bit without. Does anyone know does the increased rail pressure help cause any problems? I like the additional power when towing but not sure I want the hassles if it may be part of the problems.

Guess I'm looking to see if anyone else ahs had similuar problems with the box or if it was just my luck.

I don't think that particular box makes enough extra rail pressure to cause any problems. It's nowhere near what an Edge EZ or MP-8 makes!
I think you just had a string of bad luck. All those issues could definitely be tied together but that moderate box being the cause is doubtful.

I've been running Quads more aggressive box for 9,000 miles already without a problem. Like Dodgezilla said, the XZT is one of the more mild boxes. I'm guessing you would have had those problems regardless of the box.

I have had the XZT on my truck for 26,000 miles now without a problem so far and I tow a 11k 5th wheel at least once a month.

Thought I'd better post this disclaimer also.

I am not trying to bash anybody. Just looking for any pattern of problems or any ideas as to what "Might" be assisting and or helping cause my problems. Box has been off for a while so last injector shouldn't have been caused by it. Just looking for information.

Thanks...Don

It could possible cause a problem if it somehow spiked in pressure because of a glitch. I just posted on my thread in the performance section, and I'm not so sure that is not what mine did today.

Ive run the XZT for about 20000 miles now, with a 10K 5th behind me, and only had it throw a code 2 times. Both times on the hwy, the truck seemed to stall out for a split second, and then come back right away. Brought it to a autozone, the code was for a sensor of some sort, and after being cleared, no codes again! I like the box, and honestly would reccomend it to anyone asking. The line pressure i dont believe is raised so much to loose the line... Good luck, and sorry bout your luck.
