quick question for you I'm sure its the same but should double check have a friend that is not able to do anything on his truck right now so I'm helping. he has a early 07 5.9 was going to change his oil for him and do his fuel filter. my 02 looks the same on the filter but is the micron rating 7ish for the 3rd gen CR, where my 02 is 10micron? and I'm assuming the plastic fuel lid is the same size of socket as mine?

Yep, same size nut on top, 1 1/8",,,, get you a Baldwin fuel filter, 5 micron rating, 3rd gen. needs better filtration to be on the safe side.

 

If you don't have easy access to the Baldwin, the 7 micron from Fleetguard is also acceptable, per Dodge specifications.
