pro-comp shocks

Hi, I am planning an install of an hbs 2" leveling kit. I am going to buy new shocks and am wondering if anyone has tried the explorer pro-comp shocks. I am not sure I want to spend the cash for the bilstiens unless they are REALLY going to make a difference. Also does anyone make a drop bracket for the track bar, and drop brackets for the sway bar? Thanks.

You DO want to spend the cash for Bilsteins! Trust me. Procomp's were junk on mine, not HD enough, so were rancho 5000s.

you dont need a drop bracket for the track bar. Lazarsmith.com has offset bushings for it to re center it.

i've run pro-comp es 9000's on 2 ctd's i've owned and run them hard on gravel, off road, fire roads, washboard, etc. and never had one fail. they are not very forgiving, though. the es 1000's and 3000's would do better on a 1/2 ton or smaller truck.

I had P-C 3000 on my rockcrawler when I was first building it. They lasted one wheeling trip. They were way to firm for my taste on and off road.

Get the Bilsteins and don't look back. Most likely, you'll never have to touch them again.
