Just purchased a used 2003 2500 quad cab long bed 2wd auto with 3.73. runs great just wondering what oil filter and coolant do you recommend, I did notice that my coolant is pink

Fleetguard Stratapore filters are highly recommended. One of the best places to get Fleetguard filters is www.genosgarage.com.
Coolant would be Zerex G-05.

Hopefully it's a later build 03 with the HO and the 48re trans. Some early 03's still had the ETC with the 47re tranny.

Welcome and congrats on your new (to you) truck! I agree with MikeyB on the Fleetguard Stratapore filters. If you have a Cummins place somewhat close by, I think they are very reasonable on the cost of the filters. I know they are a whole lot cheaper than Fords. Good luck with the truck. You will find a wealth of info on this forum. I am still a newby but im getting educated on some things real fast.

 

I agree with MikeyB.....Geno's also sells filter kits that include both oil and fuel filters....I have a few on the shelf in the garage at the ready.
