Wondering if others have the same problem with parts and Dealers with this "Change of Ownership".

I took my 04 in for an oil change and tire rotation and Dodge did the multi-point inspection, found the water pump seeping from the shaft, a warning sign the pump is going bad. This pump has been on for all of 7k so the dealer said they will replace under their 10k 12month warrenty for their work and parts (they replaced first time).

That was Thursday June 4. They are sill trying to get the water pump. Turns out the dealers supplier can't get parts very fast because their suppliers are on almost a Freeze waiting for the restructuring to finish. And because the water pump is a known, frequent problem, the supply is already low.

Now, I must give the Dealer Props. They provided a loaner. It is a truck with flatbed but a gasser and at least not a car. They try and do Truck for Truck and Car for Car with loaners. I really appreciate them, even before this issue. Just stinks they can't do their work because of not having parts.

The Dealer is Roberts Dodge in Pryor, Ok.

 

Wouldn't you know it, Just as soon as I posted, the dealer called. My truck will be done by 5:00 local. I am not complaining I am actually happy. I just feel for those who have a larger issue and can't get parts.
