P0243 but I have boost fooler plugged in?

I got this code a few weeks ago so I thought my stock electronic wastegate was going bad. I installed the boost fooler plug that I had back when I ran an II turbo and cleared the code. It came back and I'm really clueless as to what else to look for.

Maybe your MAP sensor is going bad.

Which sensor is that and how do I check it?

P0243 Wastegate Pressure Control PWM

Thats not a boost code or anything to do with boost. That code indicates the WG controller has gone bad or is missing and the ECU cannot see the requird resistance on the circuit.. Installing the turbo fooler should keep it from happening but maybe the fooler is bad or not making contact.

Exactly.

A boost fooler and a solenoid fooler do different things. Did you install the one on the MAP sensor (boost fooler) or down by the turbo (solenoid fooler)?

Any other help???
I cleaned map sensor and electrical connections there, at the solenoid fooler, and the one on the intake pipe at the filter (just because). I used contact cleaner and a very light amount of dielectric grease but honestly the electrical connections looked perfect. Still getting the code. Checked the resistance of the solenoid fooler with my Fluke meter and read 148 ohms resistance so that should be golden.... I am at a loss.

IIRC, that is high on the resistance. I want to say it should be below 100 ohms but absolutely positive without checking. If it quits raining and storming I will check mine later today.

I am reading 100 ohms resistance on mine. I believe I was told by someone before a 100 ohm resistor is the correct value.

I guess I'll pull the one Industrial Injection sent me and change out the resistor... Funny thing is that it ran fine when using this one before... Do resistors go bad and still read resistance???

Thanks for your help, btw.

Thanks again... can you point me in the right direction for a 100 ohm resistor... what wattage, if it matters???

Radio Shack, Frys Electronics. I believe a 100 ohm 1/2 watt resistor will do the job. A 1 watt would work as well.
