Overdrive and cold weather
I talked to a service manager today about recall C42 on my truck, and mentioned to him that some people who had moisture/ water in the PCM connector had problems with their truck not shifting into overdrive. He informed me that at -20C (which is 4 degrees above farenheit) my truck won't go into overdrive anyway. I told him it doesn't until the truck warms up, but that I've driven mine at -33C and once it warms up I'm in overdrive as usual. He told me he didn't see how when the truck is not programmed to operate in overdrive at -20C or below. (I don't know why he even brought it up, but anyway- does anyone's truck stay out of overdrive at -20C/4F, once it warms up??)
