Oil on top of valve cover?

I changed my oil last weekend and this was the first time I had opened the hood in a while and I noticed a spot of oil on top of the valve cover right where it drops off to the lower back part of the valve cover. It wasnt a lot but it was a large spot spread very thin. I changed the oil, gunked the engine compartment and called it a day. I checked it today and the spot is forming again (it has been 1 week). I searched all over with a flash light and didnt see anything, I rubbed my fingers on the tubes, hoses, and fittings and they are all clean. If it was lower I would not even worry about it but how the heck does oil get right up on the top like that??? The truck is at 23,000 miles.

I checked but didnt see anything, unless its right at the point of the angle but I would imagine that would be unlikely?

Do you have an oil pressure gauge? If you do could be a leaking line?
