Oil pump priming issue

Puting a rebuilt motor in and I have primed the oil system through the oil sending unit access hole. I had filled the oil filter prior to prime with fresh oil. After about 2 gallons into it oil started leaking from the turbo. Is this normal? I have a spare turbo that has a couple small dings on the cane from debris from original The engine failure Any help would be appreciated

Multiple posts on the same issue is really bad forum etiquette...

The turbo bearings on my truck are lubed with engine oil, I can't say that I've ever had that portion of my engine apart before, so I guess it would depend on where the oil is coming from on the turbo. I have seen turbochargers leak oil before, but there were bad seals or loose fittings involved.
