I want to have my oil checked on the next oil change. I have a few questions for you pro's out there.

1) where can I buy the bottle for the oil sample?
2) best way to take a sample?
3) where do I send the sample?
4) how much does it cost?
5) how to read the report after it is done?

Sorry about all the questions just a newbie here needin info.

1) Email http://www.blackstone-labs.com/ and they'll send you a bottle.
2) Instructions that come with the bottle explain what to do.
3) Bottle comes with a return address label. You just add the postage.
4) Just under $30.
5) It's self explanitory.
5b) Don't be sorry. That's what we're here for.

Here's my report on my first oil change: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=102251

Oilguard.com also does oil analysis and the cost is lower. The last 3 pack of tests I purchased was $39. The difference with them is they don't give you the little paragraph at the top talking about what it all means. But after a couple of samples you'll understand the numbers enough to get by.
Cheers
Mike
