o6 dually 4x4 taller tires?

does anyone know if there is a taller tire that can be installed on the my 06 dually 4x4? I know that if the rear tires touch eachother they will blow out but was wondering if maybe there is something skinny and tall that can be mounted on the dually that may help mileage a bit and bring rpm's down.

Ya either do 19.5 inch rims or go for the 22.5 inch rims. Than you can run up to a 285/70.

Well there alot of outfits. You can get a direct bolt 19.5 but you can really only run a 235 with this rim. If you get a 19.5 non direct bolt you have to get a adapter kit that take your lug pattern form 8 to 10. With the 19.5 you get a 14 ply commercial tire perfect for highway and towing and will last a long time. With the 22.5 you will get a 16 ply tire lasts even longer but a littler ruffer ride due to the high ply, you will still need the adapter kit. I would say get the tires and rims from Les Schwab, and you can get the adapter kits from www.chromewheel.com.

Crusie around for a post by DWiggs he has 22.5 on a 06 mega cab dually I haven't bought mine yet.

Are you serious about suggesting wheels adapters and big rig wheels. As if the unit bearing weren't tortured enough. It seems to me you are not really after the big rig look, just a cost effective alternative to 17' tires. I would seriously consider Rickson Wheels .

So what is the differance between Rickson and all the other 19.5 companies like Alcoa, or Brentz wheels,or American Force, which I mentioned in my post. I also said you can get direct bolt or non direct bolt. So yes I am suggesting "commercial" rims and tires which you can get in 19.5 or 22.5. So are you seriously suggesting commercial wheels.

so $500 a wheel times 6 and $350 a tire times 6 = $5100.00 , not an option. I just wanted tires that were maybe 4 or 5 inches taller not another car payment

There are no tires for your truck that are load range E or above , 4" taller and fit on stock wheels that are less than $300 per tire.

You will also have to run a spacer between the duals if your gonna try and save money and keep stock wheels. @ $250 for a set. ( some guys frown on spacers ........ssssshhhhh, don't say that word out loud)

You might be able to run an E rated 35" without a spacer ( darnnit I said it again ). Slightly touching will not hurt. But 35's are only 3" taller and are still at least $300 per tire.
