I'm not trying to attack but with the added horsepower combined with a heavy truck (and foot??) MPG's will suffer. When I buy any vehicle, I don't even look at what the economy will be because I already know that I can afford to feed it. Folks looking for good mpg's shouldn't look for it in a truck designed to work.

Your truck is under warranty. If the a/c is not working properly, let it visit the dealer. No need in spending 40k+ for a truck with a/c and it not work like it is supposed to.

Was training a NEW service writer and explaining to him to type in what the customers says a couple with two little girls bring in a Durango with a list another dealer had looked at etc. While all of us were huddled around the service writer desk she went on about the ac.The WIFE said the OTHER dealer says the ac is FINE and I know its NOT,I can BLOW HARDER then that on any given day, looking my new service writer eye to eye.It was ALL HE could do to stop the corners of his mouth from going into a big laugh, grin but his face was turning red from holding it back. Her husband looked at me and then looked at her.She then blurted out OH MY I guess I need to reword that don't I.

That's what I was thinking. I came away from that detailed review with a real solid grasp of new model features, performance and economy.

I knew the mega-cab wasn't worth having,..... that's why I got a Quad cab.

What is your definition of sucks?
I have a 2500 Mega Cab with 6k on it and the mileage has been increasing every month, to where I now get 15.5 in town and 17.5 on the highway, and I have a heavy foot.
The AC is a little slow to cool things down, but I have never seen a diesel vehicle with a cab that large, that had a great AC. It take a long time to cool down an interior space that large.

I have an 03 and my A/C was just fair....I had it recharged and now it is too cool and today was 95deg F including humidex. Alot of the newer trucks do not have enough refrigerant in them from the factory....Mexican's like the warm climates better than Canadian's. ks

You must not have read the section that states" To attain proper cooling levels, A/C should not be operated when outside ambient temperatures exceed 75 degrees"...

Now as for the Mega cab...Why would "I" want my passengers to have more room than Myself????? As the Driver, what do I care if they are a bit cramped??????
