I am really glad I stepped up to a SRW 3500 instead of a 2500. I pull a T300 bobcat track loader once in a while and machine and trailer weigh in @ 11,500. The 3500 pulls with no probs and doesn't become a rail drager. I test drove both a 2500srw & a 3500srw. I couldn't tell the diff in ride.

I ordered my signature truck last month. MSRP was 44,??? and my price was 33,800. It should be here shortly. My 1996 V-10 2500 4x4 was a great truck but it's time to move on.

Don't know the difference in price between the 2500 and 3500 SRW. But my dealer told me the difference in the two was 425lbs cargo weight. Terry.

The gross vehicle weight rating on the 2500 is 9000lbs. The SRW 3500 is 9900lbs, so the truck's rated capacity is 900lbs more.

Mechanically, they are the same other than the 2 overload springs in the rear. The SRW 3500 also has the same springs as the dually but it doesn't have the extra rear wheels and that is the limiting factor on the weight.

2500 and 3500 have the same axels. 3500 has overload springs-hence the higher gvw. bottom line is the only difference between a 2500 and 3500 is a set of leafs. if you don't buy it read the build sheets.

I have thanks for asking (even tho I didn't have any of the symptoms). So far I seem to be up about 1.5 or 2 mpg according to how many miles I have on the tank and where the fuel gauge is.... I'll know for sure and be able to report a hand calc around next weekend....

The sticker on my truck was 48,500 and I walked out after handing a check for 38,100 after a Line X was put in the truck and a full tank (worth about a 100). I figure just throw a set of air bags under the rear and you will get your capacity back, and have some adjustability with the truck. Scotty

springs

the srw and drw rear leafs are NOT the same i replaced my srw with the drw and the difference if unbelievable, my truck used to squat real good with my trailer on it but now with drw springs the rear goes down maybe down to level, the difference is totally noticeable and if i was to do it again and didnt have the dually springs i would order a 2500 and put bags in it and save the money, the problem is the overload springs are so far away from the stops that when they finally hit them and start doing their job your truck looks like its going to take off into space lol, you guys know what i mean, this is my experiences.

Thought I was getting that too until I figured it by hand..... How many miles are you getting per tank?
