For a quick short answer go with either DTT or Goerends.
I have an 06 2500, I ended up putting an ATS so far I am happy with it.
If you go with an ATS trans etc. replace the flex plate. I didn"t and had to pull the trans 7000 mi after install because the trans tore the center out of the flex plate.

I am running DTT Tranny, location dictated vendor for the most part.
I drove to Abbotsford BC, in one day they rebuilt my trans(6k miles in 04) and I was back on the road to the states by 3pm.
Very happy with my single disc tc, I know, I know.... it's doing a good job holding 500hp+.
The few problems I did encounter, had nothing to do with DTT's workmanship, however they did walk me through the troubleshooting process(APPS). Bill, you need a phone that does not keep loosing service.
Just make sure the vendor you choose will be there for questions, before and after.

The DTT big single works just fin for daily driving and towing, nothing wrong there.
I ended up doing a custom build, due to time constraints, Got all the goodies I could, in the time I had available, and put it together here.
If you look around, you can get decent parts for a reasonable price.
If I were to buy a complete transmission assembly, my first choice on the US side would be Dave Goerend. On the Canadian side, would be the guy I got my custom VB from. Harry at peak put me in touch with him.
Don't get me wrong, I only drive manual transmission trucks, however, this auto almost impresses me.
Good luck
