This truck is really making me sick.I have had a hard start issue for some time,white smoke, rough idling.I figured injectors so I sent off to Don and got some 1.8's.Anyway I'm still having the same problem.I checked the dtc's with my programmerand it did not show any.When I used the key trick I got a 148 and 191 code.Could those have anything to do with my problem?By the way I havent filled out my signature but its an 06. Thanks guys

 

Sorry To Hear Your Problem, I Had The Same Problem Was Injectors, But You Could Also Be Sucking Air. Is It Hard To Start Just In The Morning Or All Day,does It Just When You Start Itin The Morning Or Everytime You Start It???

It usually smokes the worst in the morning.Maybe for about a minute or so.I have put the injectors in twice and torqued them twice so they should be good.

 

I Would Start By Checking The Engine Oil And Make Sure That Is Not Rising, If Not I Would Start Checking Fuel Filter And All Connections For An Air Leak. If Oil Is Climbing I Would Have To Lean Towards Inj. Maybe Someone Else Will Chime In With More Info. Keep Us Posted On Your Situation!!!!
