Yeah, I would say that something is up with the truck. Even in -40 weather, my 03 doesn't miss a heartbeat. When it is cold, the pilot injection does turn off and you'll get a heckuva rattle out of it. Is this possibly what you're hearing?

I'm with Rod, mine purrs along just fine even at -20C. I'd say your dealer isn't in touch with what cold is! (Maybe he's from Texas :)

Mine does the same thing, even if it's not cold outside. It just basically has a rough idle until it warms up but it runs great once I hit the accelerator. I haven't really paid attention to see if it does it all the time or only when it's warming up. I will worry about it when it quits running!! Maybe our trucks just have a better, more lopier cam!!! (Is lopier a word???)
